A Huge Thanks

I just wanted to say thanks for all the knowledge that gets passed on this site. I'm a novice at this and just recently started building my own effects. Being mechanically inclined is not enough some times...it's good when everything works (like the tube screamer I build ), but when something doesn't work, it's totally cool to have a place like this that guys with a vast variety of knowledge will lend there skills to people like me.

I learned more here than I did in school about practical application, school is great for the math and theory so I wouldn't discourage anyone from going, but this place is fantastic for real world situations.

Another great attribute of the culture that exists here, is that mere mortals like myself get to commune with people that are my own personal deities; Mark Hammer, Guitar Mike, R.G. and others that seem to be so available and willing to help any one of us, without any sort of score card. Help simply for the sake of help. It's as inspiring as it is rare. I picture these people to have the physical stature of Adonis and the all-encompassing omniscience of a guardian angel, with a bit of a glow about their heads. Thanks guys, you help me play pretty music, and sound smart (when I'm in slightly lesser social circles....)

I don't think all that many folks here realize just how many years Aron has been at this.  So many blogs and boards have really only been around for a couple years, but this forum has been around since...well, since before some members were even born.

So, it's not just the quality, ambiance, and responsive monitoring/moderating that we salute.  It is the faithfulness and loyalty demonstrated in maintaining the site as a place for people who didn't even know they wanted or needed it, but found it like some safe haven country or "homeland" they could move to and live in.

That deserves our eternal thanks.
