Have you added a pull down resistor before the first cap?

I have not tried disconnecting the led yet actually no. I have switched the switch.


I added a 10M resistor from input to ground and have tried aligator clipping in a resistor from output to ground as well to no avail.

The LED i have added a 2.7K resistor to keep it nice and bright.
