Yeah, this pic must be of an early model. Most pictures I've seen of the board have the ground chips, and nothing written on the boards. Actually you can also see component numbers printed on the board as well, i.e. LS375, and 7404. But that's all I can see in this picture.

You need to find somebody with an old board!   ;)  ;D
I used to really be with it!  That is, until they changed what "it" is.  Now, I can't find it.  And, I'm scared!  --  Homer Simpson's dad

That would be SWEET!

I'm thinking that those two transistors, just above the 1044, might be positive and negative voltage regulators. The 1044 providing the +/-9v, and then stepping it down to +/-5v, since the datasheet for the 6116 says that operating voltage is 5v.

Gimme a holler when you figure out the ICs. I can rummage through our massive logic IC bin to find matches (if we have them)  ;D

Will do. I'm going to try hard to get this spruce goose out of the water. Not since the Luddy have I had a potential project that's kept me up at night. I'm feeling giddy. Might be the lack of sleep.  :icon_mrgreen:

Why would you keep matches in the logic bin?

At the time it seemed like the logical thing to do.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

The board in mine has no parts designators and the chips are all sanded.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this - but I have a Rando for sale on Reverb right now if anyone wants a real one to trace off of.

I can do a better price for DIY direct sale - just send me a message.

Govmnt_Lacky

Sorry bro. Wrong place to post and most certainly in bad taste.

1st post on the forum and you want someone to pony up $500+ to trace it. Depressing...  :-\

I squint "9343", though I am not disagreeing. My 2 cents says this and similar 4-digit codes on other chips are Date Codes. Made in the 1990s but part-bin stock covered several years.

The A/delta logo rings no bell here, yet.

> 6116 chip

This seems to be date 1987; however that part was surely going out of style in 1982 as the IBM PC and kin started eating RAM 64KB at a time. The static x8 format might linger longer, but was very trailing-edge when the pedal was assembled mid-1990s. (Yes, pedals are the haven of trailing-edge technology.)

That square at the right hand side looks like the logo from analog devices.

I have a couple of 6116s i the parts bin if anyone needs them.  Holdovers from when I was planning out memory expansions for my Timex/Sinclair machines.  :icon_rolleyes:
