So, I'm a beginner. I'd like to replace my faulty SD-1 switch with a regular stomp switch. I'm not really looking to make it true bypass, just swap the switch. I tried using an old switch I had laying around, and it "sorta" worked. the effect wouldn't engage/disengage unless I hit the switch twice? I dunno. Any help would be greatly appreciated!  :icon_biggrin:

you used a click on click off 'latching' switch , what you need is a 'momentary' switch... "MOM" switches only make a connection WHILE they are pressed, latching switches STAY connected in one position, till you click them again then they stay unconnected till you press em again... boss switches are momentary... they send a blip when you press em that triggers a switching circuit in the pedal, each BLIP or PRESS of the momentary switch changes the pedal from one state(off) to the other (on) or vice versa, thats why you now need to press the switch 2 times.press once and instead of a little blip that goes from off to (press) on and then (release) off again, youre getting (press) on and then release (no return to off) till you press it again then it turns to off, but wont change the pedal state till you press it a second time(on)...
