Enclosure sanding can be an expensive activity. A very non-flat or pitted cast requires a lot of elbow grease to prep for etching, and it's easy to go through a few sheets of sandpaper. A quick Amazon search shows good wet/dry paper going for 8$ or more for a 5 sheet pack. Seems strange to spend as much on sandpaper as on the enclosure itself.

So, anyone have any good local or online sources for sandpaper?

I am not sure if this could help you, but in tese days I'm getting some information to polish the aluminium enclosures.

I started to scratch with some sandpaper. Somebody use start with 240 grit sandpaper, but I tried directly with a 600 then 1000. I have to buy a 0000 super fine steel wool and try whit that. Last step: a polish car product for erase the scratch, I don't know how it calls in english.
I still have to try.
