The bad stone actually pre-dates the mistress by a year or so, although originally it had a vibrato "colour" mode toggle and an on/off switch at the back instead of the later units manual pot and manual switch (the first mistress incarnation also had an on/off instead of a filter matrix) so i'm not sure which product got it first, possibly the mistress stole it!

Hmmmm.... IMHO they were never gone.... at least here..... I bought one (an original) in the 70´s and it is still here and still alive.  And yes, I have a second one.... a clone from the 80´s.  All these years they were peacefully co-existing - side by side.  No one left.

I'm sure that I remember seeing a production Badstone in an expression pedal enclosure at EH Uk, or could it have just been a prototype ? It was 35 years ago so couldn't swear to it now.
