Hi there. Im trying my first build with the Noisy Cricket, but im getting some troubles.

The ON/OFF led only lights up when the GAIN control is all the way up. And when any signal comes in (when I play), the led turns off. I can hear sound in the speaker, but its VERY low. Any suggestions? Here is the schematics and PCB Im using. Any help is much appreciated

PS.: There is a reason for so much GND and 9V pads  :)
PS.: I don't sell any of these. Theres a "brand" and name just so my friends will think its cool when I give one of these to them. (hopefully working properly  :icon_cry: )

Welcome to the forum!

The ICs pin 6 should be connected directly to power after the on/off switch not via the 4k7 resistor as your layout indicates. Not sure if that is the problem but it should be corrected.

Also IC pins 3 and 4 are to ground. Pin 2 is to the 100nf cap then to volume lug2/tone lug 1.

I'll make the changes to the pins.

Thank you for the help. The 4k7 resistor is for the led. I didn't pay attention when converting the schematics to pcb that it had drawn from that same line to the ic. I'll try it again. Cheers.
