Confused about standard "grounded"-NPN- input 3PDT wiring

hi dudes-  first, just wanna thank "smallbearelec" for directing me to his excellent info on circuit building and switch info. Very helpful!

So I'm reviewing the "standard" and "grounded input" wiring for 3PDT's (NPN)....which i think are posted on our forum here, too.

Looking at the switch poles, as if mounted in a box, the middle lug of the top row is labeled, "to red battery lead connection".   I don't understand.

The pcb's i've built so far....have the red batt. lead going to the 9v tab on the pcb. (or first to the DC jack, of course, if one is used)

Do I also need to run a lead from this middle switch lug...to the same solder joint the batt. lead goes to?  I'm lost-  lol   thank you

yes, if you want your LED to engage and light up when the effect is latched in the ON position on the bypass

Could you provide a link to the diagram so we know what you're talking about?
