Hi all!

I've been trying to id these two IC's NA8 & N2R (the ones with grease around them). Can you guys check em out for me? Sadly there is no schematic or layout available on this preamp.

I see a "Q1" next to the left one. Could NA8 be two transistors in one IC? The one to the right has T11 next to it, what could T stand for?

Edit:
Found this NA8 Transistor: http://www.alldatasheet.com/view.jsp?Searchword=NA8

Those two components have been replaced and may or may not be the original spec components, (the grease around them is flux residue left over from replacing them).

It might help identify them if you can tell us what the circuit is.

Sanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the same result. Mick Taylor

Please at least have 1 forum post before sending me a PM demanding something.

Yes, the SPL Crimson preamp has been sent on repair once before (due to a bad XLR sending the phantom power the wrong way). The working preamp channel 2 has the same components so it should be the original spec components.

I've contacted SPL on the matter and their techs will hopefully contact me tomorrow morning.

Edit: If any future generation ever fries their mic pre on the SPL Crimson the components to replace are (supposedly) FMB100, FMB200 and a 75 Ohm (SMD 0603). Gonna order these components and give the repair a try asap.

Preamp 1 - Q1 and T11
Preamp 2  Q3 and T13

Edit 2: Got this info from the creator of the Crimson, Jens Gronwald. Here is what to do if any of the mic channels fries. SPL's support in this repair has been incredible, nothing less then top notch.

"The most sensible parts are two bipolar transistor arrays (FMB100 = NPN and FMB200 = PNP). Both transistors are SMD types with SOT6 package. There is often a resistor (75 ohms, SMD 0603) in the emitter path of the FMB200 which gets broken as well.
The parts are located at the following positions:

FMB100 = T7 (Ch. 1), T9 (Ch. 2); FMB200 = T11 (Ch. 1), T13 (Ch. 2); resistor 75 ohms = R43 (Ch. 1), R46 (Ch. 2)

Please consider the polarity of the resistors. Both FMB100 = pin1 down left, both FMB200 = pin1 top right!
It should work after exchange these parts actually."

Hello everyone, this topic has not been open for a long time but I really can't find any resources on this SPL Crimson. On my device the 2 microphone inputs are silent, only a small crackle when activating the 48v. What should I check?
