I would like to have an effects loop insert jack in a delay pedal, but I only have room for 1 stereo switching jack. How would I wire up the jack in corresponding to the circuit output (effects loop input) and circuit input (effects loop output). Thanks!

If I'm understanding your question right, I would suggest wiring the tip of the stereo jack as the send, the ring of the stereo jack as return and the sleeve of the stereo jack as ground common to both. I dont know if tip=send, ring=return is standard or not but it doesn't really matter because it's your pedal and you can wire your Y cable accordingly.

So now all you have to do is find the appropriate place to break the signal chain to place the loop jack.

Did I understand that right?
