Thanks guys. And sorry, I thought when looking at Cozybuilder's photo that the skinny enclosed jack was the Lumberg. Oops.
Anyway, those Lumbergs look pretty nice. But I'd also like to try those enclosed jacks, second from the right in Coxybuilder's first photo.

Would that be Smallbear's "1/4 in. Mono Enclosed #111", SKU 0603, http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/1-4-in-mono-enclosed-111/
... or is it from BLMS "1/4" Stereo Switched Enclosed Jack -5 Pins", http://bitcheslovemyswitches.com/#!/1-4-Stereo-Switched-Enclosed-Jack-5-Pins/p/25664011/category=5027593

Thanks !

Both the ones you referenced are like the middle one in the photo. The second from right came from an inexpensive kit from China- they are really small. I have a few of them, PM me if you want a couple.

Edit: Small Bear has one very similar that looks like it would work: http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/stereo-low-profile-pc-mount/

what happens when you put another pedal to the right of this (nice build btw) with its stomp in the middle..hmmm...

i have big clumsy feet, and don't do ballet or the shoes ;D

i like RG's suggestion for ''pedalboard specific pedals'' with the jacks on the bottom..

good idea. and tidy..8)

If you aren't too drunk, you can turn this on by stomping in the middle and catching the foot switch with the edge of your shoe - it's a momentary switch.
It's not ideal, but there wasn't any room left - the reverb brick is under the board next to the switch. In any case, it is a usually-on effect, so not too much tap dancing required.

I have seen winklepickers with the toes curled back over the top of the shoe, looking like something mediaeval from a fairy tale somewhere.  And the people wearing them were part of the toughest Italian street gang in Toronto.

There are Italian street gangs in Toronto?  That self identify via whimsical footwear?  News to me.

Well nobody likes a sober astronaut.
Anyway, with a space suit on, you would need a 1590DD-wide box to prevent you mashing the pedals to either side.

You might need winklepickers to operate the pedalboard:

Just an idea, but for small box builds without a battery, is there any reason you can't use a stereo jack for in and out, making your own cables to go to other boxes in the chain? There are many examples of Stereo Input jack guitars, with 2 mono output cables from the stereo plug. That might be an answer to your 1590G box.

There is an adaptor from a ¼" Stereo to two ¼" mono, this might make the quoted suggestion viable for gigging:

Frankly, given the state of pedalboards, .... It makes a lot more sense to put them on the *bottom* where the cables can be routed under the surface of the pedalboard.

I like this a lot BUT:
When assembling the pedal flying leads to the lid will carry input and output to these jacks. I'm worried this is a potential point of failure.

But so is everything else..
