the single bjt version bazz will/may sputter, the darlington version has much better smooth decay. you might like the sputter decay, tho.

Yes, that's it! I remember there was a better version, and all the ones I've built used 2 bjts wired as a darlington. I don't really "like" the sputter, but for my friend's music style I think it won't make any difference.
