J210- Chinese JFETS

lookin around on flea-bay and I guess the Chinese are making J201's.  Anyone use these?  I guess I'll buy a few and just try them.  I'm just wary of Chinese quality. It seems like a lot have been sold, however.

The thing that makes me "suspicious" is all the chinese sellers list them as "generic" and "unbranded".   i mean....how can they be "unbranded"? -lol  SOMEBODY made them! how can you not know where they came from??

It probably just means they're not a specific brand, they'll just be whatever fets they could get hold of that week that have close enough specs to sell as J201s.

I have bought over 40 with no trouble so far and used them in differant circuits. Dr boogie.FA1 pre.

Chinese chips can be fine.

I'm real leery of eBay "quality". Can be anything from first-run gems to sweepings from the reject piles.

I'm just now seeing the title of this thread mentions "J210", not J201. which is the counterfeit?

I do know of a source for non-chinnese "J210" (they [both] are one of my favourites).

Oops--  sorry bout that.  "210" was just a typo-
