So misunderstood that site name. Lol. Thought something really wrong was gonna come up here at work. lol. I had already clicked the link and thought, oh crap.

Floor-mat at the front entrance to my former place of employment. Oh... the irony.

Kind of reminds me of a setup that Niel Young had on his amp. Think he called it the whizzer.

This looks like it's designed to be added only to the top of the Stompbox but I wonder if it would be possible to to put it inside and have a conventional knob mounted on the top for manual adjustment. That would only work is the stepper motor was allowed to freewheel but still know it's current location. Seen it done with digital pots. Just thinking aloud

Young's "whizzer" is exactly what instantly came to mind.  His setup uses motorized pots.  I think it was Electronic Goldmine that had motorized 10k pots for sale real cheap a few years back.

One of the limitations it appears to have is exactly what the old EHX Hot-Foot came up against; namely the requirement for a certain minimum amount of clearance space for mounting the little stepper and gear assembly.  This thing will certainly work with a broader range of pedals than the Hot-Foot (which seemed designed for the clearance between pots on the old big-box Memory Man), but forget about controlling your Boss pedals or anything without a flat surface.

Within those limitations, though, neat idea!
