OK, so I read through the forum and haven't found the answer to my question.  I figured I'd give posting a shot.  I know this is kind of the gateway drug of pedal mods, and so I figured it's a good place to start.  Unfortunately as is well known, panasonic no longer makes the parts to do this mod.  So what do you use?  I pasted what I believe is the parts list below.  A google search for these things lets me know that panasonic made the parts, but they're discontinued.  I'm new to this stuff so be gentile, but what the heck do you substitute?  I found similar products with different voltage ratings, but I want to do it right the first time and use the right stuff.  There are kits online and I guess I could go that route but I'd like to learn how to pick out the correct components.

1.0uF 50V Stack Metal Film Capacitor x 4
0.1uF 50V Stack Metal Film Capacitor x 5
0.047uF 50V Stack Metal Film Capacitor x 1
47.0pF Capacitor x 1
220pF 50V Monolythic Ceramic 2.4k 1/4W Resistor x 1
20.0k 1/4W Resistor x 1
1.5k 1/4W Resistor x 1
On/On SPDT Switch x 1
3mm Blue LED x 1 *Optional
3mm Red LED x 1 *To incorporate both modes you need a total of 2 red LEDs. I reuse the one I replace with the blue one.

a hint to your search - concentrate on the first part of each of those parts, the bit that says 1uf, or 220pF, or 47nf (you're a big, smart boy now, time to learn your multipliers), and less about the so-called stacked metal gold plated overhead films. look at box caps, greencaps, mlcc or ceramic disc caps. and yes, metal film or carbon film, and yes, 1/4W or 1/2W.
