Hey guys,

I haven't been around in a awhile, not that I was that prevalent around here anyways. Nevertheless, I was wondering if there is a certain clean blend circuit that one could put in a small box and plug a box in and out of to add a clean blend to any particular pedal. I' tried searching it but couldn't find it, so my apologies if this thread is already out there.

a blend knob perhaps with a clean volume pot I'm thinking would be beneficial.

Thoughts/clean blend circuits that are your guys favorites?

Thanks!!

Isn't there a GeoFx circuit of this ilk?

Something like this would probably work. I have not built this circuit so I cannot verify that it works. It did however sim fine and is only built of tried and true blocks. I might suggest using a different opamp though if you were going to be driving a heavier load. 4558 would be a great choice.

Edit for err - the polarity diode should be a 1N5817

The sends could also be sent to a DPDT switch to allow the end user a choice incase there is an audible difference.

+1 on the geofex panning article if you're ok with putting the building blocks together.

I pretty quickly found a thread using google search for "wet/dry blend circuit".  Actually there were several useful looking hits on that search criteria using google.

I hope that helps.

I believe this is the article Rich was referring to

That's a great article that I haven't seen before Lawrence.
I haven't seen that before.
I was thinking of this with a patch cable in the unused side

Then there's this too

Although I'm sure it won't suit all applications

Thank you kindly to everyone for your responses!! You guys are great. Theres several really good references here for me, and I've definitely got more that enough to work with here. Maybe i'll make some kind of conglomerate of two or more of these, I would like a circuit I can add to a build in the same enclosure and just add a pot, and it would be awesome if I could extrapolate that same circuit and put it into its own enclosure and go in and out to one or two FX pedals and clean boost against them, kind of like a loop pedal.

Perhaps I could make a long pedal like a loop pedal and make it 5 clean blends. OR I could make a looper pedal with a toggle on each channel to add a clean blend.

Uh oh the wheels are turning again.....

Thanks again!!!!!!!!

Keep in mind that you may need to incorporate some kind of phase reversal in the event that the effect circuits output you are adding the clean blend to is out of phase with it's input. The circuit fragment I posted doesn't include one.
