It was almost as F***ED up as Donald Trump.

if only someone would take to trump with a meter and a soldering iron (maybe a sharp knife, you know, there may be some 'shorts') to find out just what is wrong with him.

your new board looks v. good. don't use those jacks and switches from the previous attempt, unless you pull all the wires off them and redo. and then test w/ the meter, and then turn on and test for voltages, and then plug and play.

Also I do continuity test all throughout the process I make sure I tested after I cut the board and then I tested again after soldering so there was no problems with continuity or anything it seem like it was a grounding issue and thankfully someone literally took the time the look through my mess of a first wiring job.    Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who helped.  I've gotta go for my birthday dinner at the keg and when I'm home I'm going to re wire the new board and fix that.  I'm so excited.

Ok I built a fresh circuit last night but I kept the old wiring aside.  I'll test the new circuit first and then hook up all my bypass wiring.  Wish me luck guys, hopefully I can use my birthday wish towards becoming a better builder lol

Have you checked continuity between rows with a meter? Once I had a cut which wasn't complete. Only a meter could tell me because I could not see it with my naked eyes, even after knowing there was continuity. So test for continuity all your rows with the adjacent rows and also test them across the cuts.

Your second board is a big improvement from the previous one. However, it looks to me that there is a bridge; look at the bottom row 5th hole starting from the right and the hole above, it might just be the pic.  There might be others. Your meter will tell you.

How can I test just the circuit to make sure it's not the problem

Test the circuits BEFORE adding the bypass machinery, jacks and any other off board components. In the pic below I can see the finished board. Add all the necessary cables: 9V, ground, in, out, pots, etc. connect to the guitar and battery etc and play. See if the board works. Once that is a given we'll move on to the next steps.

In general, I find very helpful breaking down your building process in various steps and find a way of testing each step. The smaller the step, the fewer the things you need to check. It helped me with my debugging and my building technique improved from one build to the next.

Apparently I'm pretty good at hacking things up with a soldering iron haha maybe let me have a go.  Plus I'm Canadian so if all else fails I can boogie back to the border.  Hopefully before he erects that wall( first thing im sure he's erected in years)

FINALLY!! It sounds amazing.  The first circuit was probably fine to as I thought it was my wiring that was insanely bad lol but I'm kinda starting to get it

The first circuit I've actually built   I've soldered together 4 other vero circuits waiting for the wire to show up and now this is the first one done.  And it's rated cowboy on madbean :icon_cool:

Lmao with out you guys I never would have made it through
