Ok, i have the new tl072. How do i know which is the 1st leg? They dont have the indentation like other IC's. Id like to put it in the correct way

Also what would it do if i replaced the 22nf cap with a 33nf cap? Hypothetically. Im trying to understand what everything does. Learning as i go

You'll either have a bite taken out of one end (sounds like this is what you're expecting), or there will be a dot right by pin 1.

I hate it when that happens. I would suggect getting a new voltage regulator. Make sure you have it in right if its backwards that could cause issues. it needs to be 5 volts. more than likely you have a bridge or something in backwards like an electrolytic cap or the votage regulator

I'd double triple check the pinout for the voltage regulator too. If you can get the data sheet from the supplier it may help.
I hope it is the TL072 and not the brick.

Thanks! That was my main concern. I already used a razor blade to check for solder bridges and checked the pinning on the electrolytics, which look good. . After a 13 hour day today and another tomorrow, i wont be able to get to work on the pedal until Saturday. Ill post to tell if it worked or not.

Yes, just fixed it! It was the TL072 and the tpdt switch. I changed to a dpdt and it now works beautifully! Thanks
