I'm trying to source some of the Dpdt prefab daughter boards but can't find them anywhere I see lots of people using them in builds but searching through posts can't find a source to get them?

I did see this one, it just seemed to have a lot more parts ie the ic1 not sure why that is used ? Not sure how to link to images in other posts but there is a picture of a chasm reverb gut shot with the Dpdt pcb

Worked it out :)

Just finished mine up this morning.  Thanks for the GREAT circuit!!  I love it.

The IC is just an optocoupler that's used to turn on and off the LED, and also ground the effect input when bypassed.  It's a clever solution, allowing a DPDT to be used with an LED for true bypass.  Variously known as optical bypass, opto-tron or Clinton bypass.

Assuming the LED is for bypass, the Chasm reverb may be using the above or Millenium bypass.  Or it may just be a buffered bypass.

the chasm is a buffered bypass....for tails.

Apologies if this is a stupid question but this is all quite new still and painting by numbers it still key :) I have my chasm reverb populated and now on to the Dpdt and trying to decide how to do it, i Would "like" to have true bypass when pedal is off and an led that is lit when pedal is on how is this wired with the chasm prefab circuit please  :-[

And I got to ask what is tails I don't really understand what the function is/does.

I hope one day I might be able to answer questions not just ask  :icon_redface:

the chasm uses a dpdt switch only...
and is buffered bypass...

this allows for tails...meaning. the reverb will trail off when you hit bypass
rather than just instantly cut off,

imo it makes for a better more natural way of using reverb. (same with delays with ''tails'')

the buffer is fine...

as ambient effects are usually at the end of your chain the buffer will keep up the signal too...

i wouldnt get hung up on the 'true bypass' lark... ;)

Unless there's a very specific need for a true bypass reverb in a given set-up, any time based effect really does benefit from using a buffered bypass with tails IMO.  If you really want to wire it TB then you'd simply take the input and output wires from the circuit and wire it to the DPDT switch, using either a millenium bypass or an optical bypass set-up.  Or substitute the DPDT for a 3PDT footswitch, which eliminates the need for the additional circuitry needed for DPDT with a LED.
