why is my LED always on?

hey guys....i put together a dirt pedal today and the led is on in both bypass and on.  lol--what gives, man?  i have the 'negative' lead going to a common lug on the footswitch, where it always goes.....the other is going to my DC jack (and the "CLR")

how can it not work?! lol-   a faulty 3pdt?  i have no clue.   thank you very much for any help.

Probably because there is 9v on one end, and 0v on the other, always.  Voltron to the rescue... ohm and volt out the connections... you should find an error or bad switch pretty quick. probably stomp switch wired incorrectly.

Hmm....that makes sense. lol-    wonder what i done wrong.  Voltron is on the way!  thanks- i'll double check wiring.  i was out of the loop for a couple days.  if i can';'t nail it down, i'll post a pic.
