Been looking for something related to what Im looking for. I have my components ready to buy including capacitors. I like to try wima this time. But the availability varies from different series. Can I use different series in one circuit like mks2, mks4 and FKS2?
And if does, would I benefit more on my build if I use all mks4 like for an instance?
Thanks

Yes of course.

Some may have a different opinion, but there is no difference between different brands of the same type of capacitor with the same value. At audio frequencies, all film capacitors are functionally identical unless it is failing.

Thanks for clearing this up

Yes, you can use different series in the same circuit, no problem.

The only significant difference is that the different series can have different tolerances. The Polypropylene are tighter tolerance than the polyester, iirc, but both ranges are available in a selection of tolerances, and I think it depends on maximum voltage too, so you have to check.

For *most* audio circuits this wouldn't matter at all. For a few specific applications (high resonance filters, perhaps, or musical oscillators) it might make a important difference.

Finally, watch out for the lead spacing/size of the package. The type of film can alter the size of package required for a given capacitance, and I've found myself with a bag of caps that don't fit in the space on my PCB before now.

HTH,
Tom

Thanks for this advise...good thing you mentioned it. I'll keep this in mind

IIRC, the wimas are on fairly short leads if that matters.  You may already know your way around a 3" digikeycatalog. Check those last pages of the datasheet. There are sooo many caps to choose from. Smallbear for ex. has eliminated that guesswork by whittling things down to our needs.
