si fuzz problem

hell to all.a friend gave me a sil.f.f and he told me tha its a Creepy Fingers Effects Si Fuzz Face schematic( http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.gr/2013/04/creepy-fingers-effects-si-fuzz-face.html)but it has an added tone control.i like it a lot as long as im not to much fuzz player.but the problems are 2.first when the fuzz pot goes up to 8/10 i get toooo much buzzing noise and the second is that when i gig with the band it realy dont get as loud as i need.i try to put a 250k vol pot but i didn't do much.i realy dont have knowledge to electronics to solve thease problems.can any one help?thanks

I'm not so sure, but maybe the tone control suck too much signal getting lower volume.
I don't know this fuzz, but the board seems pretty different from the layout in the link.

maybe its different but thats what he told me.my big prob is that when gain hits 80% a buzz starts constantly no matter the vol guitars or pedals

That sounds like some form of oscillation, because maybe the tone control was not installed with the right precautions (shielding...).

You can either try to hunt down what's causing the issue, or you could remove the tone control and put the thing back stock. 

It might be helpful if you could post a recording of what happens when you turn the gain up?

Do you have a digital mutli-meter and know how to use it?

I think it is a bit hard to do something if we can be sure about the schematic or the layout at least.
Try to trace it.
