Howdy folks, this is my first post.
The board is all wired up i just need to wire the in/outputs the switch and the power supply in (and maybe battery bit and led).
I know my in/outs are pcb board mounts but its all I have just now and I'd really like to get get this working today as I'm not off work again for ages.

Coming from the board
black - ground
red - 9v
green - out
red - in
purple and brown for in/outs

I have the option of 2 switches one with 9 prongs and one with 6.

I dont know which prong on the in outs to solder the in/outs wires to.

Same goes with the power supply.

I'm not really bothered about having a battery option.

I will appreciate any help offered.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Yeah that's good i have some diagrams but what I really cant seem to find is the type of in/out sockets i have. Could you possibly tell me what wire goes to what prong?
Sorry, I'm a total novice.
Thanks again.

Well, if you have a DMM (Digital Multimeter) you could plug a mono cable into one of the jacks and check continuity to find which prong connects to tip (signal), and which prong connects to sleeve (ground).
But looking at the pics you posted, I'd assume the prong closest to cable insert point would be sleeve, and the prongs farthest would be tip.

Still, if you own a DMM or can get your hands on one, check the continuity to make sure.

Thanks a lot Hemmel.
I'll give that a shot and if nothing I'll borrow a multimeter (or buy one i suppose)

Welcome.  If you're going to be doing this crazy pedal-building lark (which you will: there's no getting out now!), then you need some basic tools.  A DMM is one of them.  You'll find it more useful than the wheel and sliced bread.   ;)

Hello Elvis,
here's a very good manual about pedal-wiring:

If you have amplike-jacks take a look here:

elvis - your 9 prong switch (we'd usually call the prongs lugs, and that switch a 3 pole, double throw switch) is polarised. so that you don't miswire it, in your photo it is 90o off the way it will be shown in nearly all the wiring dias you'll find about the place. [the three switches contained within are each north-south when the prongs are horizontal.]

and welcome. [there's a guy works down the chipshop swears he's Elvis ....]

I second the gaussmarkov wiring guide, and since you have insulated jacks like those in Magnus' other link you might also want to watch out for which set of solder lugs you go for. Often one side is break contact, so is disconected when you plug in a jack.

Plug a jack in and look to see which terminals are disconected. I'm pretty sure you want the lugs ive marked in black,  not the red ones, but its late and theres every chance it's the other way around.

And welcome!
