Aion Refractor (Klon Centaur Klone) Unique Issue?

Back up and running without the diode. Yeah, I don't entirely trust this guy.

Issue with the reverse gating still happening though. Eventually I'm going to build another one and will see if I get the same results. Really only seems to happen when the gain is above 3 o'clock so maybe it is something to do with the pot.

I've now done what I consider sufficient (albeit limited) research ("centaur-like-thing" straight to amp, "centaur-like-thing" to Jon Patton Snow Day OD (-like-thing) to amp) to say that I agree.
