I seem to recall when this first came out, that there was a substatution of the 2N7000 for the BS170 for more gain.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried J202's for more gain.

Both of those MOSFETs will have more gain than any JFET, also the biasing will be much different.

Not saying that it is a bad thing to try, just that it is different than you are thinking.

First sorry for the mis-spelling, I'm pretty challenged in that area.

Second, I should have clarified that I meant using the 2N7000 in the Q1 spot where the Mosfet is already.

Third I meant using the J202's in the same spot that are already Jfet's.

I'm thinking these changes would be easier than building an Earthshine and GGG had a PCB already.

On the other hand, the Earthshine sort of looks like some of the amp simulations like the Meteor.
