Oh and not forgetting the help I had from Stephen (D.A.) with the rectifier biasing. Thanks for that.

Thanks Larry.
I spent far too long (years) trying to breadboard a State variable filter and the Sabrotone was the one that helped me figure out how to tweek it. I had a good deal of help from the guys here too. I can' find the thread now.

SabroTone SVF? It's here for info.

Change the 220k to 330ks
Use nsl32 vactrols
remove the sens pot and associated 10uf.
rebias the envelope to 2-3V
A few tweeks to the timing cap and Decay pot. much smaller.
I removed the Q pot in favour of a fixed 10k R.

Rich, I finished watching that video 20 minutes ago, and I'm still walking around my house mouthing auto-wah sounds!  Sounds very well balanced in its sweep.  When my "Mood Shifter" pedal makes it to the front of my design queue, I'm going to come bug you for help on the envelope part.  :icon_biggrin:

QuoteI'm statring to get to grips with envelope detectors.....

.... but I needs some help wit der spellinks. chukka wah always has that affect on me, too, with the mouth formings, less so the walking around in flares. I especially like the last decaying sweep in yr last clip [or is that the hammer time?].

Well, I have put this pedal through the paces with a Fender Bronco (modified with added neck pickup), Gibson ES-345 and Gibson Nighthawk studio.  These guitars provide a mixture of pickup configurations and outputs volumes.  The consensus is that I love the design. It's super musical and requires no tweaking for a great sound.  If anything, I have found some great sweet spots and then a world of cool sounds just by adjusting my playing or tone a tiny bit.   Anything from super funky bubble curves to slow electronic music curves can be found quickly. Great job!

Kipper4

Thanks for the endorsement. Appreciated

Klipper that pedal sounds amazing! So lush, smooth and bubbly.. like smoking a bowl then munching on chewits in a hot bath. Dig the art too!
