External RAM for Delay

Hi,

Having been scouting around the dsPIC range of products, I've found that in maximising the amount of bits available to the ADC and the DAC, the amount of RAM is very limited (16k).

If you've ever used an external RAM IC for a delay effect, how well did it go?

Or if you think another range products other than the dsPIC would be more suitable for what I've described, please let me know

HI Have a look at these two threads, they're both projects using dsPICs and external ram to make delay effects, and should give you a pretty good idea what's possible.
