3 pot passive pickup controls

Not a stomp box but what better place to ask for ideas.

I'm redoing an old acoustic/electric guitar for my dad. It as as single pickup and holes for 3 pots.

What to do with these holes?

Links to wiring ideas appreciated.

A Varitone-ish control is perhaps a better idea.
I have a 12P1T rotary switch in my bass, which switches the value of the tone cap to ground.
I like this a lot more than a standard tone control. I don't have any resistance between these caps and the output as I am using a standard-ish Precision control plate, but the treble pot would only make this even more useful.
