Hi,
I've built around 7 pedals now, 2 have been using AION pcb's.  I really like his pcb's and the instructions that come with them.  I'm currently building the Lovepedal Eternity using the Stratus pcb. In the bill of materials it calls for a 22uf 25v capacitor (C7). On the pcb, there's no orientation for the (+) and (-) leads. I purchased an electrolytic radial capacitor that I'm trying to use. I'm having to spread the legs a little and it doesn't sit flush to the pcb like the other capacitors. Can anyone help me understand (a)Am I using the right capacitor and (b)What direction should the (+) and (-) leads be soldered?  Here's a picture of the pcb, BOM, and the schematic.  Note: The schematic is for a stock TS so the C7 capacitor is showing as a 1uf but the BOM calls for 22uf.

Please let me know if there's any additional information I need to provide.  Thank you.

I think the BOM is erroneous, and it's supposed to be 1uF.  It might sound okay with the 22uF, I don't know, but the + side would go toward the opamp (right hole in your pic).

It looks like an error on the BOM- trust the schematic rather than the BOM. C7 is a coupling cap, 1uF is called out on the schematic, is a reasonable value, and is easy enough to verify from an independent schematic. I would use a polyester box cap (1 uF).
Some people drink from the fountain of knowledge, others just gargle.

Agreed. The 22uf is a mistake in the BOM. It is a 1uf. I seem to remember there being a 10uf on the output, not that it matters.

Floor-mat at the front entrance to my former place of employment. Oh... the irony.

22uFd would probably be round. The PCB mask shows rectangle. Like a box-cap.

The circuit function only needs >0.1uFd, 22uFd is way more than needed, 1uFd is reasonable.

1uFd box-cap will be non-polar.

Thanks everyone for your input in solving this.  I think I have an extra 1uF capacitor laying around so I'll try that.
