Is this wiring correct? Its for a violin with one phantom powered microphone on XLR and one contact mic on TS cable. So when switch is pressed I want the audio to be muted on both outputs but the phantom power supply should be constant.

I would just short XLR pins 2 and 3 together.

But isn't that what i'm doing in my wiring? Thanks

I would *JUST* short XLR pins 2 and 3 together.

Not leave OUT pin 2 floating.

The 48V coming out of what gets OUT won't know what to do.

The SHURE circuits are even better.

Hi,

Buffalo Tom, did you succeed with your mute ?

Could you eventually post the wiring schema you used, please ?
(the schema in your first post is very understandable for a newbie like me  :) )

Thank you very much

Isn't this really a job for the Burst Box?

I tried this one, and it's great.
