Battery consumption of the woody.

Hey guys, I was wondering how much battery consumption Mark's acoustic simulator makes?

I've nearly finished my frankeinstien guitar and am thinking of putting this circuit inside as well as the fuzz i made, however both will have to share the same battery.

The fuzz pedal drains like a fuzz face and both the ff an the woody will be fitted with leds through 3dpt toggles.

I'm just wondering how long it will last before a battery replace...

Thanks

I have no idea about battery consumption, but given that the current design uses a bipolar supply, it is not recommended for on-board installation.  When it comes to on-board stuff, I'm pretty much a minimalist anyways.  Good switching, a buffer or preamp, mixer if you have a mag/piezo combo, a usable tone and volume control, and that's it.

My suggestion might be to have two isolated outputs on the guitar so you can run a stereo cable to an off-board device and process each path separately and do your fuzz and acoustifying there.  Personally, I'd rather have more controls and a more dependable power source OFF the guitar than not enough controls and a risky or undependable power source ON it.
