In my neighbour's workshop. Colour is called "Carrot". Hmm ...

There's still a question remaining, I can't seem to get my head around this:

There'll be 2 LEDs in there. One of the two stompswitches (3pdt) switches between the two gain levels - AND between those two LEDs. The other (SW1) is the usual bypass stomp.

In theory I would wire it like this, wouldn't I?:

certainly, that is one workable arrangement. I also use airbrush for all my painting - a little bit of paint and a looooooot of water. takes a long time to get a decent coat on.

I took the fast way - nitro. It's bad for the invironment, but I compensate by wearing fair clothes only :) Plus it dries in a whiff (3-4 hours)

Thing is coming along.

Optimized the PCB for less space:

Drilled and soldered

Pot fitted. Alas, not really centered. Next time I'll build the whole shebang AROUND it.

Daughterboard: Power filtering, Millennium 2

Fits quite nicely. Of course I drilled the box without proper measuring and without a drill template. Will do better in the future

Next: The least fun part (at least for me) - wiring. I will need beer for this.

One important thing:

I'm about to wire it this way (I left out the power connections +9V and GND from MIL 2 daughterboard to PCB to not add to the confusion):

My questions are:

1. Is it vital to connect ALL ground cables? At the moment there's ground connection from In-Jack to PCB-In AND 3DPT Switch, and Out-Jack to PCB-Out. Do I have to connect the 3DPT ground pin to the output jack, too?

2. The two LEDs have their grounds connected to the Millennium 2 daughterboard. Should I ground them to the PCB, too?

your circuit diagram - anything shown connected to ground needs to be connected to ground. how you do it is up to you. you can lassoo all the non-audio grounds and connect them together, then to ground, and all your audio grounds together, and then to ground, but they all need grounds.
