In the wiring diagram, c4 is not connected to c3, and c4 is connected to ground. Those are not true in the schematic. Iss the wiring diagram wrong?

LOOKS that way, but to an RC filter, it doesn't matter if the R or C come first.

This is just putting the pot THEN the cap to ground...it would work the same way if done exactly like the schematic!

Welcome to the forum, good eye in seeing that.

Yes, it is wired like this:

As Gibby says: parts in series with no side-paths can go in any order, no difference.

Here I assume the drawer did it arbitrary, but the wirer flipped to make the wires simpler. (Though I'm not sure it is.)

You need gas and beer. Does it matter if you gas-up then get the 6-pack, or grab the brew and then fill the car?

Just like that, it doesn't. If there is a side-path.... say you need to get cash from the ATM to pay for gas, and the only ATM is in the beer store. Then you better get the beer (and cash) first before you pump gas.

It's easy to think there's a mistake when you're looking at a parts layout, but see something different on the schematic...spent a lot of time over the years on THAT little gem!! He he.   Only to find that "oh yeah, that DOES really connect that way, just...it's different".   Maybe ANOTHER part is also at the junction you're looking at...but if it all works out electrically, all is good.   You get used to it.

Ease of wiring can tip the layout person's hand to find an easier way to do things (like ground something to a non-conventional place you don't realize is a ground...etc), and it can throw you off.   This causes havoc when you go easter-egging to debug something without a clear idea of the schematic AND layout.

Each of these "lessons" makes you a better 'analyzer', and it's cool that you saw that, Auto....
