i got it this morning, and after 2 minutes it was fixed.
just LOVE buying "broken stuff" that's sooo easily fixable. nice.

anyways - the hot-jack lug was just touching the - coming from the battery snap.      :?: why couldn't the other owner fix that?

good for me i guess.
anywho.. here's some pics of it.

go ahead and compare it to the other EH boosters.

ps. btw - this MUST be the smallest EH pedal EVER made.!!!!

Awesome!  Thanks Cedric.  It looks VERY similar to an LPB.  One transistor (a BC tranny), 2 caps, and a couple of resistors.  Its neat how they use the lugs of the switch as a terminal strip.

Hi Rory,

Good job!  Those little EH boosters are cool.  Did you put the footswitch in or was that the previous owner?

hey man. Rory didn't fix it. I did!!  :x  :x

;)

and it was the previous owner who installed the new switch.
VERY cool boost for guitar, but way cool for old mics too. :D

Pretty much what I expected to see.  Those curious about E-H history will note that there was an issue of the BMP which used 2N5133s and another which used BC239's.  Cedric's photo shows that this Ego used a BC239.

My old Muff Fuzz used a pair of 5133's and the LPB-1 used a 5133 as well.

I disassembled my Muff Fuzz many years ago (I wasn't all that impressed with it, but the transistors are still in the parts bin) and installed an AMZ MosFet booster in the same little chassis using a pair of phone jacks, as shown in the picture, and using a slide switch rather than stomper.  That's one tight squeeze, and the biggest challenge seems to be fitting in a battery *other* than one of those skinny Eveready Classics without shorting anything.

Who knows, maybe the Muff Fuzz is what inspired Zachary Vex to cram as much as he does into a 1590B!

Looks like one from the inside pics, I wonder if the values are the same.
Seems to have ceramic caps in it too.
I see a BC on the tranny but cant read the rest...It would be kinda interestin to know what they were putting in there.
