PCB etching

I just replenished my pcb blank stock and realized that I ordered double sided blanks instead of single sided. Would the easiest way to fix my mistake be to spray paint one side, etch to remove the unpainted copper and call it done? I'm looking for an efficient way to get these down to single sided blanks.

Sand them.

isnt the copper glued on?...if so, you may be able to iron it and peel it off one side...

never tried it though...

Keep the copper clear and etch it with hidrogen Peroxyd  60 vol and HCl . It happened to me too, no problem

I tried sanding one and went through a lot of paper with little result, so I'm just going to etch one side off the boards as I go through them. That'll teach me to buy things while I'm half asleep!

I just dealt with this the other day.

First, I etched the "good" side. Once I cleaned and tinned it, I gave the solder side two ight coats of clear lacquer.  Then I turned the board over and etched the other side.

Of course, this only applies if, like me, you etch your boards by floating them, face down, in your etchant bath.  If your method involves a complete soak in a deeper etchant tank, then none of this pertains.

Back in the late '70 I could stole nitric acid at school...
few drops will erase your copper very fast...
you can cover the "good side" with heavy duty shipping tape

Watch out the toxic smoke (etch in open air)

I've had no issues with countersinking the holes on the top side leaving a gap around the hole through the still intact copper. Basically what you're doing cutting veroboard traces.
