Hey Guys,

Just built a fuzzdog clone of the wampler Euphoria. When the effect is not engaged i get no sound passed through and when it is engaged its very very quiet even with my cranked amp. I check all of my solder joints and traced my wiring to make sure the jacks were wired correct...everything looks good. Any idea what this could be? Could it just be a bad 3pdt switch? Im using it on a fuzzdog daughterboard. Thanks!

Hi Wolf, welcome to the forum.

You might try going here: https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=29816.0   and posting the info requested.  Then we can know what's going on in side your circuit.

Sounds like a simple wiring error, not something major.  You may want to build an audio probe, which would allow you to trace your signal from input thru the effect, possibly seeing where it drops down in level.

Thanks, a lot! Ill do that. Thats what I figured at first, but I couldnt find anything that looked suspicious. Ill give it another go tonight.

There could be a few causes, from a wrong value resistor placed somewhere, to something connected to something it's not supposed to be....audio probe can really tell a lot, often times, in this sorta situation!

thanks! With a wrong resistor value wouldn't I be able to still hear the clean signal if it was bypassed?

Sorry Wolf, I overlooked that!    No sound in bypass, go back over your switch wiring, and grounds!  I was popping in here while splitting firewood, raking and all that, a little fuzzy-headed from dehydration.

When soldering the switch, try to go kind of fast and not over-heat it...they can be damaged by too much heat...

No worries! Thanks, I think ill just re wire another switch on there  :-\ I cant figure out what the issue is. All solder joints look good, wiring is all correct and I only get a faint signal when the pedal is engaged.

Thanks again!

I suspect if you manage to get clean signal (sound on by-pass) you'll also manage to get signal when effect enagaged.. :icon_wink:

Check for IN-OUT continuity (less than 1 Ohm for clean wire/lug soldering) AND for open circuit (infinite Ohms) between IN/OUT and GND, both on by-pass mode..
