Rocket build report.. Yes, another one..:)

Hey all,

Finally got the Rocket fuzz together today and much to my amazement, it worked right off the bat, hehe! There's a first for everything right?  Anyway, it is everything everyone has said it is.. Awesome! Over the top fuzz and sweet harmonics.  Just like Aron said, just because its trannies are bipolar doesn't mean it sounds harsh and it doesn't!  I just got done tweaking the caps to match with my strat through my plexi re-issue, and I'm quite pleased with the sound. This is going to be great when my band plays "Machine Gun" by Hendrix, and with the Univibe.... Yummy!

I insist to those who haven't built it to go JD Sleeps website, he's got all the info..

My hat goes off to Aron and Gus for a wonderful design!!!

The Rocket is one of my all time favorites. It's a perfect build for getting high gain in a simple design!!!

I love the sound of silicon through a tube type amp, but the right build even sounds good through solid state. I am going to have to go back and revisit this one.
