Does anyone have an idea of the current draw on these units? A friend has one and says that all of a sudden it's munching through batteries incredibly quickly. I'm inclined to assume he's started using cheaper 9v batteries and/or it particularly power hungry. It otherwise works fine, no problems running from wall wart. If it keeps being a problem then I'll get him to drop it off and open it up but in the meantime I figure it's worth seeing if it can be explained by finding out the current requirements.

Cheers!

Edit: found what I was looking for, supposedly draws about 54mA, so slightly greedy for what it is (especially compared to the Sans Amp) but I'm guessing he just got shit batteries.

54mA is high for the best batteries. Cheap batts won't last long.

At that power drain, six D-cells would be less than 1/10th the cost per hour of medium-good 9V batts.

Thanks Paul!  I had it in my head that 20-30mA was something of an average with drive pedals. I was surprised to see the Sans Amp Bass DI only requiring 6mA.

Seems I've overestimated what might be "standard". Might be time to get my meter and start measuring my own collection to get a better perspective on this.

Hi,
AFAIK, the BB1X is digital, so that may be the reason for the high current draw.
