Advice on pedals

OK looking for input. I have built the following. the rat...box of rock....hells gain....love pedal jubilee....the gov'nor....plexi plus....custom badass 78....and just finished boss hyper metal. Now working on triple wreck.
I'm looking for a heavy metal pound you in the chest distortion.
Is there any better then i built or am working on?
Give me all suggestions please.

"better" is subjective.  Also, one circuit might be 'better' in between some guitar/amp combinations, and 'worse' in others.

Probably more constructively, what is it about "chest thumping distortion" that these pedals fall short of?  Are any of them close to the sound in your head, or are you just looking to have an array of choices at your feet?

Like Jurd answered you, "better" is subjective.

But since seems like you're looking for hi gain overdrives/distortions, I suggest you to take a look at Joe Davisson's work (transistor Obsidian is my favorite one, but there are other amazing designs like Vulcan, Blackfire and Massacre), Diezel VH4, Okko Dominator and Suhr Riot.

You know, all those things really are is the same kind of circuit with more gain and some toneshaping.  Stick a booster stage in front of just about anything that clips, and you can turn it into a monster.

try and find my old ancient prophet project. all ge fuzz suitable for metal
with a fairly brutal low end. works with almost any leaky ass shitty ge transistors.

my metaloid friends really seemed to dig that one. huge and crushing with more dirt than anything else i think i've ever encountered.

Mark, which booster would you recommend?
I messed up when I bought my last amp. I was looking at the marshall code 100 and the boss katana 100. Bought the boss, now I wish I had got the marshall.
