I know not all of you have a Thanksgiving day, but I just want to thank the people that come here.
This is a fascinating and useful hobby that continues to give back. Thanks to all the contributors who devote their time helping others!

Here's a post about you guys - the ones that help and give back:

Thank you too, Aron - and for that article as well!  It was very well written, and described something like...my personal philosophy.  I agree heartily with the author...it is very hard (for me) to sit around and just be 'recreational'.   I need to "Create", even it is re-inventing something EHX came up with in the 70s.  :)

I think society would be much better off if we tended towards that way of thinking.

In which case I have a great deal to be thankful for today.  Just came back from the home/studio of a buddy I hadn't seen in a while, and I now have the task of resurrecting:
a Mr. Multi
an EHX Micro-Synthesizer
an older wall-powered Electric Mistress
a wall-powered Deluxe Memory Man

He runs a fairly busy studio that records/masters a number of locally and nationally prominent artists, so the knowledge that I might be able to resurrect some pedals that he uses on future recordings is quite motivating.  It's good to be useful!

Thank you too. I like solving puzzles, learning, decent conversations, and this is one of those rare places where all three meet.

There are so many things I just take for granted.  A society that doesn't always do what is right but definitely does something predictable.  The ability to recover from some injuries and diseases.  And the ability to find places on the internet to discuss my favourite things at no other cost than just signing up.  But the latter doesn't "just happen".  It happens when people like Aron take enough of an interest to take out a domain name, host a site, police the conversations and welcome anyone to get on board.  Thanks for all you do!

And I would like to thank you for having created a place that, literally, changed my life. Not only where building pedals and learning about electronics is concerned, but on a personal level, has connected me to some mighty fine folks. This place enriches you in so many ways, some waaay beyond the pedal-sphere.

Thank you Aron, and not least of all, thanks to all that have been there for me.

I really like that there is such a pleasant atmosphere on this forum. I have not seen any negativity yet, which is restoring some faith in the internet for me.

Thanks guys and girls.

Thank you to Aron and all of you here!
I've just realized I've been on here for a year, and looking back over what I've learned over the last year or two is pretty epic.
Every day I check out what people are up to here, and every project I'm interested in can be fully explained by searches and questions, and tasty links all over.
Lovely place, Thanks guys!

+1 to that. I love this place, and frankly I don't know what I would do on the internet without it.
