I'm not entirely sure, but I can tell you I wouldn't be putting all 25 in one build!

I would build a discrete op amp and with some Д18 germanium diodes, would cobble up something Zendrive-like. "Mojodrive".

Alternatively, some sort of muff, like Kipper said. Or, I don't know... a fuzzface?
