Under no circumstances whatsoever should you watch any videos about mango worms.  Seriously, don't do it!  You've been warned.   :icon_eek:!

QuoteAgreed, but now it is alive and beyond my control.  It demands that I keep watering it and giving it sunlight.

For better or worse, here is the present state of things:

The leaves still haven't opened up.  My brother suggests more sun.

Careful, too much sun and the heat that is absorbed by the enclosure may be like that of a rock buried in the soil that then burns the roots of grass and makes it brown. Or, so I have heard.

Floor-mat at the front entrance to my former place of employment. Oh... the irony.

Very low risk of that here (Virginia, USA) this time of year.  However, the cooler temperature by the window and the length of day may be slowing things down.  Maybe I should seek out a recreational herbologist to grow this in their therapeutic garden.   :icon_lol:

The maximum extent of the foliage in each direction puts this about at 125B size now.

Although I wish this would grow more evenly and symmetrically, there is a certain organic flow to it, almost like seeing a pedal abandoned in a forest, slowly being consumed by nature.  :icon_razz:

Also, makes me vaguely think that I made a Chia Pet version of this:

That's exactly what it made me think of. I know it's a little cold there, but any chance you could get a picture of it outside in the woods or something? I feel like that would be cool 8)

Hmm..
Maybe.

Very good question.  A mature chia plant in good soil will grow to be 5-6 feet tall, and it probably takes a while to get there.  As a sprout attached to pottery (or to a guitar pedal), I have no idea. The Internet has failed to answer this question for me within a minute, so I gave up searching.   :icon_wink:

You might as well switch the damn thing off.  It clearly serves no purpose whatsoever...   :icon_rolleyes:

more disturbing still. I seem to recall there used to be a thing called a solar powered pot plant rotator. they only seem to do hanging plants now, and as you know, 1 minute is the limit of usefulness of searches.

Grandpa's record player.

Multiple mirrors.

Half the states allow growing marijuana, and the other half don't catch all growers, which means there is a BIG market in attic-growing supplies. Fans, smell-filters, pumps, and LIGHTS. These shops will know how to grow an "herb" 5 feet tall, quickly, with "full all-around flavor".

I'm gonna let someone else grow that pedal.  :icon_razz:

Here is what mine is looking like today:

Battling a little bit of mold.  The solution seems to be more water (counterintuitive) and more light (more intuitive, perhaps).

When we all get wiped out by some apocalyptic virus and nature takes over (as she is wont to do), then all our pedals will look like this.  :icon_eek:
