So I got me the pcb at pedalpcb for the Brown Betty which is awesome. Ordered elenco capacitor kit and resistor kit from eBay I guess China made which have some of them mislabeled. Anyway I just finished building and it works but there's a bit of oscillation when turn knobs for anything when gain is at higher settings. Any help would be appreciated. Also would it be possible to get rid of middle control pot and make a straight be-od clone? Do I just desolder it or do I need to wire something in its place. I appreciate all you guys' help and work here. Oh and on the resistor kit I got they didn't have 20k and 27k so I made some in series, would that be ok too? Thanks again

That pedal has 3 clipping stages, who knows why it's oscillating. It's convenient and easy to blame "China" but that's basically never the reason.

hard wire the middle lug of the volume control to the output, you can by pass everything after the volume control.

yes, 2 10k resistors would be fine. i didn't see a 27k resistor on the schematic.

if you really want help you'll have to do more homework and take voltages, etc. did you read the debugging guide?

Thanks for the response. I wasn't trying to blame made in China I did have 33k capacitors laying around and the ones they have have different color codes so it was mislabeled on their end.i borrowed a friend's multimeter to check the resistors and what not. Will try to learn more and read up. Thanks for the help I appreciate it.
