New to modding here, I'm trying to mod my SD-1 to TS808 specs. (not bothered if it doesn't sound exactly the same, I just don't want to shell out $180)
These are the mods that I am planning to do
These are the parts that I have chosen, are they correct?
Also are there any other mods that you guys would recommend?

Note: I am not the one doing the modding, my friend (who is experienced with electronics) is.

Realistically, there are essentially three things you would need to do to convert an SD-1 to sound like a TS-808:

1) Drop the value of the Gain pot from 1meg to 500k.  This can be done by placing a 1meg fixed resistor in parallel with the relevant lugs of the existing 1meg pot.

2) Converting from an asymmetrical trio of clipping diodes, to a symmetrical pair.  This can be done by simply bridging a wire across the leads of one of the diodes in the pair in series.

Both of these actions can be done with a DPDT toggle switch, such that you could go back and forth from SD-1 to TS-808 with the flick of a switch.  I can't speak to whether you have the required space internally or on the chassis to install such a switch.  I suspect you probably do, but since you appear to be new at this game, you may or may not require a little more space.

The schematics will show different cap values for the tone circuit in the two pedals, but quite honestly, all of that can be compensated for by where you set the Tone control, so I will sidestep them here.

3) The output buffer resistor values are different in the TS-808 than in the SD-1 or TS-9.  Replace the terminating resistor with 10k instead of 100k and the series resistor (1k in the SD-1) with 100R, and you're good to go.    I suspect that if you like the revised 808 output buffer stage over the TS-9 and SD-1, then you'd like it whether you're running it in SD-1 mode or TS-808 mode.

I  would keep the 3 transistors I used 1n34 ge... Get them on ebay for a $1.00  I like  my SD-1 modded 808 spec for my 1963 Bandmaster with those 1n34 trannys,a regular TS did not work well (No Dirt) for me But first go slow and do what the first post said it will get you started. The SD-1is a fun pedal to mod just don't burn up the traces,

I was trying to figure out why a TS808 would have 3 transistors ;D

You dind't tell us the actual time for figuring out that, Nathan..  :icon_redface:
