Hello All,

I completed the wobulator clone from dead end fx (turbo trem PCB) and am having an odd issue. all settings work except the triangle shape for both LFO 1 and 2 has a very weak signal, the square shape on the other hand is strong and sounds great. From what I can tell the triangle shape comes from pins 8,9,10,12,13,14 on IC4 and need to verify the voltages I have are correct, any help is appreciated. All parts in the build doc were used with no substitutes.

Like i said on the email i sent you some images of your build would be useful.

Have you got it rigged up in stereo?  have you tested both sides of the build in isolation?

Just a cursory look....

Something looks off at Q4 and Q5. The Gate of Q4 is directly connected to Q5 Collector (which should be at around Vref) and I do not see that in your voltage readings.

To clarify, you should re-post voltages of transistors according to Source, Gate, and Drain (for Q4) and Collector, Base, and Emitter (for all the rest)

Did you use BC549C transistors???

Yeah I guess pins 1,2,3 could be interpreted a few ways, I'm out of town for the week but I'll repost the transistor voltages as suggested when I get back, I'll be able to look at it with a fresh set of eyes too. Also, yes I used BC549C transistors on this build. Thanks.

Hey guys I've been busy with other stuff this summer but wanted to close out this thread. Turns out the issue was related to the knock off vactrol's I bought from China, I'll post separately about those since other will no doubt have the same issue if they try to use them. Anyways, that's all that was wrong with my pedal, just some cheap vactrol's that half assed worked.

Building a Turbo Trem and just had to have the LEDs central...

I have a small issue with my TurboTrem build... everything works 100% as it should, with the sole exception that in panning mode + square wave + full depth the right channel doesn't go completely silent as there is some small signal breakthrough and the status LED shows slight illumination. All the other settings work just fine. Only change from the BOM is that I couldn't get a J113 to work in Q4 so have a 2N5457 in there. Any suggestions what might be causing the panning crosstalk into the right channel?
