Love the volume pedal. That must be the most complicated volume pedal I've ever seen. Also love things from the era when 50K was seen as a reasonable input impedance! :)

That Hall-effect volume pedal worked but I never enjoyed using it and I don't think I would have understood back then that the low input impedance was problematic. Also, if you left it plugged in, any kind of 9v battery did not live long!

I've got the Wasp working normally as Low-pass, but I just finished adding a switch to use the Notch filter option (which I'm sure wasn't in the production synth). The Notch is a very cool sound even with low resonance. I'm not using BP or HP as they tend to gut the volume too much.

Yeah, that's kind of unavoidable. My own FilterFX has the same problem. There are some cool sounds to be had with the HP and BP modes, but the volume level varies enormously as you chop away...well, virtually *all* of the sound, really!

Still, I do love the fade-in/fade-out stuff that HP mode does. It's worth playing with.

I highly recommend deadendfx Q2 project for vcf which is great for guitar and line level. Frostwave Resonator clone. Similar chewy flavor to Wasp vcf.
