Is it new? Seems to have more pins..

Thanks for help

Can see the chips on the board are the Cool Audio V1000 & V4220 so that provides enough information, just a digital reverb on a 'chip', should be subjectively better than the ol' PT2399 models.

Mr. Lime

Got some more information from the retailer but it's also new to them.
Effect, Tone, Depth, Mix and Delay controls are included and a tap tempo function as well.

So it's a DSP multieffect instead of 3 PT2399s?
Thanks for help

bit strange selling a product with no info.....no 'application'  notes.. etc..

might be interesting , in a while.... 8)

Looks good, but its a bit like all of those "looks interesting" modules on Aliexpress - lots of photos from all angles but no bloody data!

I ordered one on Monday from Banzai in Berlin. I also emailed Belton, who seemed kinda confused that I had ordered one, and asked who from. Banzai phoned me this morning and said they had been sent some for evaluation and they shouldn't be for sale. Their page for that product is now 404. I've been refunded!

So, now email Belton again and ask if they can send you some for evaluation.  :icon_wink:

I've never even used a BTDR-3, but I'm excited for this anyway, whatever the hell it is.

so its basically this then????....

Yup!

I wonder if Belton were annoyed because the production units would have had the signature black epoxy enclosure covering that...

I agree with Rob, it pretty well looks like the last page in the V1000 datasheet, but a couple observations:

- Anyone know what that third IC is? The 16-pin QFN? The numbers on the top aren't pointing me to anything useful.
- The reference design has a couple op-amps, but the Belton module seems to have left them out, I guess we're putting those on ourselves.
- The reference design calls for a 10MHz clock but the Belton design is using an 8MHz clock.

Now I want to play with it even more :P

A serial programming interface chip of some sort, maybe?  What's that connector outline next to it?

Tap tempo on a reverb?
I suspect some players wont be happy until there's a tap tempo overdrive :D

It does have a few other effects on the chip and one of the control parameters we know is called "Effect" thanks to Mr. Lime, so, might have a bit more use than just setting the reverb delay time.

Ice-9

Well I am not sure if it was a mistake for Banzai to be selling these but I bet Belton are not happy that they have been advertising the prototype test product for sale.

@frequencycentral  ,, out of interest what price were they selling at ?
