Aion Stratus-Germanium diode orientation

I bought a Aion Stratus (the older board with clipping options) and I want to make sure I orient the 1n34a clipping diodes correctly. In the instructions for the Zendrive clipping, it doesn't appear clear to me how to orient correctly.

I attached a Pic of the board I'm using.

Any help is appreciated

Page 4 of Kevin's instructions shows how to fit the various diode options.  The square pads are always the cathodes, and each "diode" has two connected cathode pads (for flexibility).  So for the Zendrive arrangement, the cathode band on the 1N34 is uppermost.

Thanks for the response. I'm pretty sure I'm tracking with you. The notes on page 4 just show a circle, so I'm used to seeing a diagram with the diode orientation (band going in a certain direction).

I'm not sure what "the cathode band on the 1N34 is uppermost" means. What do you mean by uppermost?

Furthest from the PCB.  It's shown standing upright.  (The "circle" in the diagram on page four is the end-view of a 1N34.)
