Need help with the Cardinal Tremolo

I'm building the Cardinal Tremolo V2 using the 1776 pcb but I'm having trouble balancing the vactrols. The trimmer doesn't seem to do anything.

I forgot to match the two vtl51c with the two LEDs and I used a TL074 instead of the recomended TL064 for the LFO since that was the only quad opamp I had at home.

You guys got any advice on how to get the circuit to work properly? Should I get one of the recomended opamps or should I desolder the LEDs and vactrols and try to match them? Would It help replacing the trim pot for one with a higher value?
