building different effects in same enclosure-polarity issue

Hello,

I installed  a distortion  and a tremolo pcb in the same inclosure. Used a simple ac to dc power supply, with 4 diodes and smoothing capacitor. I grounded the chassis using a 3 prong plug and the pcb's  ground to chassis through the input jacks. It worked well after I grounded everything.

Then I  added an amplifier pcb. I used the same AC transformer, but second set to secondary winding, as this circuit requires more voltage, and another set of diodes and smoothing capacitor for DC.

But when I added the amp pcb I created a short in the power supply. Then I realized that the first 2 pcbs, if built for their own enclosure are center negative, where the amp is center positive, and am thinking that is where my mistake is.

Could these three pcb's be wired to go in the same enclosure? I am trying to build a guitar amp with tremolo, gain and tone.

Thanks

It shouldn't matter.  Centre negative and positive is just a function of which wires you connect where on the power jack. The PCB would not change in either case.  You just need to be sure which is the positive and which is ground from your power supply, and connect up the correct pads on the PCB.
